One principal, one registration, two lines of work.

Northmark Enterprises LLC is a service-disabled veteran-owned firm in Bozeman, Montana, formed in February 2026. It supplies defense equipment to federal buyers as a licensed dealer and delivers technology and program consulting to federal and state programs.

The firm

What we set out to be.

Most of what goes wrong on a government technology program goes wrong early: an architecture chosen before the requirement was understood, an AI capability that cannot show its work, a governance structure with no decision rights attached to it. Those are small, senior pieces of work, and they are usually bought from organisations sized for something else.

Northmark is sized for that work specifically. We take engagements where architecture, evidence and oversight are the deliverable, and we say no to the ones that need a bench or an authorization package we do not hold.

The equipment line comes from the same place. Northmark is a licensed firearms dealer whose owner is a service-disabled veteran, which is the combination a small-arms set-aside is written for. It quotes federal supply requirements as a dealer, against a source that has been checked with a date and a quantity — not against a catalog page.

We publish our methods, our limitations and our contracting facts on this site because a buyer evaluating a firm this new should be able to check the claims rather than take them.

Leadership

Jeff Kimble — Founder and Principal

Jeff founded Northmark in 2026 after fifteen years designing and delivering systems in regulated environments — federal, state health, emergency response and commercial programs operating under HIPAA, GDPR and FDA rules.

He has been the solution architect with delivery oversight on a U.S. Department of State grant disbursement system at Secret scope; built the technology and AI governance operating model for a state health agency serving more than 13 million beneficiaries; and consolidated 37 country-specific systems into a single regulated platform for a global medical device manufacturer. Earlier he grew an engineering organisation from 1 to 50+ in under two years and led 30+ architects across three continents.

He served in the U.S. Army with the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), Airborne, and has volunteered with Team Rubicon on disaster response since 2018.

Prior firms: Guidehouse, NeuraFlash, Magnet 360 / Mindtree, Deloitte Digital, 7Summits / IBM, Vantage Point, NTT Centerstance, Vertiba.

Education and certification

  • M.S. Artificial Intelligence, University of Colorado Boulder — in progress
  • Vanderbilt specializations in Trustworthy Generative AI and Agentic AI
  • Harvard Business School HBX CORe, 2016
  • Five Salesforce certifications, held continuously since 2012

Regulatory experience

  • HIPAA — 10+ years
  • GDPR and FDA-regulated environments
  • Working familiarity with NIST and ISO frameworks

Northmark holds no authorization under any of these frameworks. Jeff held a Secret clearance in prior government work; it is not currently active, and reinstatement is a sponsor's decision. The firm holds no facility clearance and has never operated in a classified environment.

How we operate

Three commitments a client can hold us to.

We name the gap first

The parts of a requirement we cannot perform are written down and handed over before anything is proposed.

We attribute honestly

Work performed at another firm is labelled as work performed at that firm. The company's own record is short, and we say so.

We show the mechanism

Claims about how a system behaves point at a check that runs, a log that is written, or a gate that fails the run — published where they can be argued with.
